About the Workshop
The emergency medical dispatch workshop prepares candidates to be integral members of the health care system. They will learn how to communicate with public, interpret various dispatch-related systems (computer-aided system, mapping system, dispatch coding system), categorize cases, provide a set of online medical management and pre-arrival instructions, and be able to dispatch in certain situations.
Workshop Goals
- Discuss critical principles of Emergency Medical Dispatch™ (EMD™)
- Demonstrate correct use of the Medical Priority Dispatch System™ (MPDS®)
- Pass the IAED™ EMD Certification Exam
- Navigate through ProQA software
